Once Saved, Always Saved – A Lie

“When wisdom enters your heart,
and knowledge is pleasant to your soul, discretion will preserve you;
 understanding will keep you… From those who leave the paths of uprightness
to walk in the ways of darkness…
 nor do they regain the paths of life…” (Prov. 2:10-11,13,19)

Here we have two verses in the same Proverb, which state that one can not only leave the path of righteousness, but lose the path of life, salvation. Yes, thank You, Jesus, for Your mercy and grace to save us, but we cannot continue to live in sin and expect to be saved. It’s quite different to sin, ask for forgiveness, and repent from it than it is to live in sin, knowingly continue sinning, without repentance.
