“Search out” – In Hebrew: chaqar; to search, search for, search out, examine thoroughly, investigate.
We are told to be diligent in studying God’s Word, seeking out His truth (2 Timothy 2:15). This is crucial, as sadly, most of the preachers these days are saying what people’s itching ears want to hear (2 Timothy 4:2-4), instead of what we need to hear.
